Behind the wheel

My name is Adam Akehurst and I am a Ceramic Artist living and working in Cumbria. I create most of my work on the potters wheel and love to work with natural materials to create beautiful yet function Ceramics. Every piece of pottery starts out as a ball of clay and over the course of weeks it is formed, shaped, trimmed, glazed and fired to produce a product that is truly unique and will last for many years to come. I enjoy experimenting with new techniques and my work is always evolving. I hope you enjoy seeing what I've been working on.
